What You’ll Learn
Students learn nurse aide basics, including first aid, feeding, bed maintenance and vital signs via individualized instruction as they develop skill sets in performing basic nursing skills. The Nurse Aide Training Program prepares students for entry-level employment as a bedside caregiver in healthcare facilities or home health services. Graduates can work as nursing aides, nursing assistants, or attendants under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse.
-
Notice
Although not required to obtain employment in all Nurse Aide related occupations, gaining recognition as a Certified Nurse Aide (“CNA”) requires both the school diploma and passing the state certification exam (Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation – NACE).
